[wp_ad_camp_2] From the ashes of the Soviet empire, from the flames of history, rises PROXY. Post 9/11 rave vibes cloaked in Muscovite angst. A line drawn in smoking rubble along the border dividing East and West, Stüssy and Spetsnaz. 1997. The Year of Tar and Horses. The Prodigy plays Red Square in Moscow. Hundreds of thousands of people attend the show, but only one is truly changed. By the crushing sound. By people absolutely losing their shit to synths and sustained aggression. The experience causes PROXY to question the quality and purpose…

[wp_ad_camp_2] [wp_ad_camp_1] The man who shaped trance music into a live performance art returns this month with another high octane, apex-ascending floor thriller. On the Club and On Air Mixes, Giuseppe spikes ‘Lost For Words’ with seismic drums; sensationally plucked strings, hypersonic synths and a full spectrum of other big room components. To that Amba Shepherd (whose recent studio work includes tracks with Porter Robinson and Ferry Corsten) adds her unique vocal inflexion. Pitched perfectly between the points of lamentation and elevation, her heart-in-mouth lyrics and breath-stealing song push ‘Lost…

[wp_ad_camp_2] Oliver Daniel is not your average teenager. Passionate about music in general and with a fond interest in trance music, he spent years researching how to produce the music he loves most. When Oliver first began producing there wasn’t an all-encompassing resource for producing trance music. New producers therefore had to spend hundreds of hours online researching equipment, techniques and how to use Logic Pro, before even starting to produce in Logic Pro. So Oliver then decided to create a single concise package that would save new producers hundreds…

[wp_ad_camp_2] Techno, as one of the backbones of dance music, has always been more of an underground style in the total landscape of EDM genres. What attracts you in the genre and what drives you to continue to push the bar? Do I push the bar? Haha… I guess I never saw myself that way. Well let me start by saying there are a lot of types of techno I really don’t like, but what draws me to techno specifically is it’s energy. I’ve always tended toward the darker sides…

[wp_ad_camp_2] On “Irreverence”, their forthcoming debut full-length for Dim Mak Records, the French electronic dance music quartet pens a new playbook for the genre. Merging heavy bass music, drum n’ bass, dubstep, and electro with grimy club energy, the group—Charly, Thomas, Pho, and Pitchin—can’t be pinned down. However, these pioneers wouldn’t have it any other way. Give a warm welcome to Dirtyphonics on Hammarica.com! [wp_ad_camp_1] If you look at your list of productions you have done so far. [wp_ad_camp_2] Preparing to orbit the Earth at the speed of sound, ‘Versus The World’ embarks on its journey with a salvo of Durand’s solo material. Personifying Richard’s characteristic tech-ish appeal, ‘Chopstick’ and ‘Sequence’ deliver adrenaline shot beats and hard-fired percussion loops, packing them against those tense, stormy Durand riffs. On ‘Stand Again’ Leah’s vocal cadence generates the uplift, while Richard’s production travels the track into distorted atomic big-room-boom territory. Packing a peak-time punch, ‘Trancefusion’ (which served as the anthem for the Prague-based event of the same name) unleashes a euphoric…
